A North Division Measuring Point
Both clubs bring Week 4 wins to a division game that demands another kind of control.

The Week 4 evidence
Chicago held the Jets to 12 points in Week 4, while Green Bay edged Tampa Bay 17–14. Those results show different routes to a win: one built around keeping an opponent from scoring much, the other around getting enough points in a tight game.
The Week 5 question
A division meeting can punish predictable early-down calls and careless field position. The Bears need to see whether their defensive control survives a different opponent. The Packers need to keep their own offense from asking the defense to protect a narrow margin on every possession. Neither team can import last week’s conditions unchanged.
Two routes to a division result
Chicago's 23–12 win over the Jets and Green Bay's 17–14 win over Tampa Bay were both victories, but they present different questions. The Bears allowed only 12 points. The Packers won despite scoring 17. Neither result by itself proves that the same approach will work against a division opponent that has studied its tendencies and can force longer, less comfortable possessions.
For Chicago, the test is whether defensive stops become useful field position and points. A defense can do its job repeatedly and still be left defending too many snaps if the offense cannot stay on the field. For Green Bay, the issue is whether its own offense can make a narrow-margin game less fragile. One more sustained possession can affect the opponent's play calling as much as an isolated explosive gain.
Watch the sequence following each team's first failed drive. Does the next offensive series change its approach, or repeat the same difficult third-down situation? Also watch how often a promising drive ends without points. Those details are more informative than treating a 23-point win as automatically stronger than a 17-point win. This matchup can show which parts of the Week 4 performances were repeatable under division pressure.
What to watch
Third downs and the drives following a defensive stop deserve attention. A team that turns one short field into points can change the shape of this matchup without a highlight play.
